Decus Moves to New Offices in Clarkston

CLARKSTON—Decus Communications, a full-service media, marketing and public relations company, has moved its office from downtown Birmingham to downtown Clarkston at 20 W. Washington, Suite 4.

The move was made to accommodate the now two year old agency’s expanding staff and a growing client pool, especially in north Oakland County. “One of the main factors that went into our move, was that the climate was right for Decus and our customers to base our operations out of Clarkston,” said Decus President Mark Gilman. “Our recent addition of a number of clients in north Oakland County and the fact that Clarkston is quickly moving away from its ‘bedroom community’ status to a newly thriving commercial base for technology and healthcare were key components in our making this decision.”

The new office will accommodate the entire Decus staff and features a more “client friendly” atmosphere. The Clarkston Mills, once a working mill and then for a time a boutique mall, is a unique business location with brick floors, exterior lanterns and a “vibe” that totally fits Decus’ “out of the box” style of marketing and public relations.

Among some of Decus Communications’ new clients include Echo Grove Camp and Retreat Center in Leonard; Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer & Garin in Bloomfield Hills; Oakland Christian School in Auburn Hills and a number of professional services and non-profit organizations in north Oakland County. Decus Communications has also changed its Web address from www.decusinc.net to www.decusllc.com. The office phone remains the same at (248) 942-5896.

Decus Communications specializes in integrated marketing and b to b strategy and implementation for its clients, which range from small to medium-sized businesses in diverse industries that include professional services, technology, manufacturing, event, non-profit, media and retail.

Decus Chosen by Lighthouse, Lipson-Neilson and Echo Grove as PR and Marketing Counsel

Decus Communications has been selected as Public Relations and Marketing agency of record by three Oakland County, Michigan organizations. Decus will handle a variety of duties for non-profits Lighthouse of Oakland County and Echo Grove Camp and Retreat Center as well as the Lipson Neilson Law Firm.

Lighthouse of Oakland County, as social service, counseling, emergency needs organization based in Pontiac, will be depending on Decus to help the organization increase its donor base through a number of strategic public relations and event related programs that will include building new business alliances and media partnerships.

Echo Grove Camp and Retreat Center, located in Leonard, under the auspices of the Salvation Army of Eastern Michigan, has engaged Decus to reach out to new audiences in the corporate, school and church domains in Southeastern Michigan through a strategic marketing and branding campaign.

Lipson Neilson, a full-service law firm located in Bloomfield Hills, will be using Decus in building a new awareness campaign and working with its attorneys to increase its marketing opportunities through coaching and alliance building.

“Our experience in the non-profit and legal communities, though an odd combination to some, has given us new opportunities to help these business and organizations in an increasingly competitive atmosphere in Michigan,” said Decus president Mark Gilman. “We are excited about these new opportunities and applaud each of these new clients for having the foresight to understand that when building news business or a donor base in this tough economy, it’s important to have the strategic action plans that Decus provides.”
